Fire!! Run!!

                                                   Twigs and dried leafs were cracking under the patrol paws as the group had been sent out to hunt, prey was beginning to become scarce with Leaf-fall approaching. Sunrise gave a sigh picking up his small mouse he had managed to catch, he wasn't proud of his catch he should have been able to catch more then this but he had lucked out. 

                                                   Eaglewing walked up to Sunrise shaking his head giving a small sigh. "I can't find anything....." Sunrise flicked his tail over the younger toms shoulder giving him a reassuring look. Heavypelt pushed past a bush with a small young rabbit in his jaws looking proud of himself as he trotted over dropping the rabbit at Eaglewing's paws. "I nearly passed out catching this rabbit, it's small, but it should feed our kits nicely." 

                                                 Sunrise felt his mouth water at the sight of the rabbit and pushed back his hunger, he new NightClan was in worse condition then they were but it was that time of year were prey was hard to find. He pushed back the thought knowing the kits and elders needed to eat first. Sunrise nodded and mumbled through the mouse in his mouth. "Good catch Heavypelt." 

                                              Heavypelt purred picking up his rabbit motioning toward the camp and began to walk toward it. Eaglewing trotted behind the older warrior quietly followed by Sunrise. As the three toms walked in silence Eaglewing began to hear a strange noise and began to look around. "Whats that sound?" 

                                            Sunrise paused in his pawsteps perking his head, after a moment of focusing he heard the sound of crackling as well. A confused look spread across his face. "I don't know...I have never heard anything like it as well." He ran up ahead of the group for a moment jumping onto the large meet up rock they used when they met with other patrols. 

                                        He scanned the area looking for the source of noise before looking down at the two toms who walked after him. "I don't see anything but dark clouds...that seems to be coming from the trees near the SilentClan border." He looked down baffled toward the others. "I didn't think clouds could touch the ground?" 

                                        Heavypelt quickly dropped his rabbit and jumped onto the rock looking shocked and slight look of fear on his face. When he jumped onto the rock he almost pushed Sunrise off in his spot on the rock in his haste. Heavypelt was still for a moment tracking the movement of the clouds before his pelt began to fluff out. "That's not clouds, thats smoke! And it's headed for camp!"

                                        Sunrise and Eaglewing gave Heavypelt a confused look. "Smoke?" Sunrise chirped out. Heavypelt jumped off the rock running toward camp. "Come on! we got to warn the clan!" Eaglewing and Sunrise raced after Heavypelt quckly. Eaglewing yelled after Heavypelt. "What's smoke Heavypelt, why is it so dangerous?" 

                                    Heavypelt grunted knowing the younger toms wouldn't know the danger smoke can be and what causes it. "It's fire, the forest is on fire! It burns and kills all in it's path." The two younger toms gasped and looked toward the smoke their eyes wide in fear. 

                                 The three came charging into camp in such a haste that it caught a few of the warriors attention and they bristled seeing the three rush in. Heavypelt skidded to a stop screeching. "FIRE, THE FOREST IS ON FIRE! IT'S COMING THIS WAY!!" Yowls broke out as cats began to panic. 

                                Clearstar hearing the yowling jumped up carefully weaving her way past her kits and walked out of the den. "What in StarClan's name is going on here!" She demanded sharply. Heavypelt turned to Clearstar. "Fire Clearstar, and it's headed our way." Clearstar froze looking up at the sky seeing bits of smoke in the sky. "No...." She bit her tongue before whirling around. 

                                 "Murkysky! Make sure the apprentices are all counted for and lead them to SettingClan, they should see the smoke and know we are retreating. Bring Snowflight and Galeheart with you for help." Murkysky dipped his head and began calling out the apprentices name and began counting the apprentices before leading his group toward SettingClan in a hurry. 

                           "Whispercreek, grab Darkriver, Iceheart and Riverfire grab as much herbs you can and follow Murkysky!" Whispercreek nodded and darted into the medicine den followed by the cats that was called. Turning around to face the others. "Where there any other patrols out, did any other cat leave alone does any one know?!" 

                            All the cats were shaking their heads talking with others, after a minute it was decided everyone was there in camp besides the ones that already fled. "Ok." Clearstorm turned around hearing Hopekit and Frostkit arguing feeling her heart drop. They were being herded out of the den by Stormheart feeling her heart drop. 

                          "Stormheart, they can't keep up." Clearstar whispered. Rockystorm appeared at her side. "Give me a kit" He demanded trotting toward Alderkit. "I can carry one of them." He picked up the kit whirling around quickly and dashing out of the camp followed by a few cats. Clearstar blinked and turned around facing the last few cats who were waiting to squeeze out of camp. "Ashwhisper, Lightbreeze Tailchaser, please help me carry my kits out of camp...please." She pleaded.

                       The called cats turned to face Clearstar looking afraid but at the sight of the kits wobbling around Clearstar's paws they nodded and hurried and collected a kit before heading out finally able to get out of the exit. Stormheart picked up Hopekit and nudged Clearstar forward. Clearstar picked up Amberkit and ran after her clan closely followed by Stormheart.
